BioBumper-19:
Vaccine, or Nothing?

A once-in-a-century global pandemic completely upended our lives. As the virus spreads and mutates, will vaccines continue to be effective? Are they the only option? Today, we live in an age of synthetic drugs, but what else can work for us? Herbs and plants have been used for thousands of years, and they are growing popular as natural alternatives to synthetic drugs. We need a natural solution to prevent and treat COVID-19 and its long-term patients. Here's our story.

Eucalyptus

Eucalyptus can relieve sore throat, sinusitis, and bronchitis. It may act as a decongestant when inhaled, or an expectorant for loosening phlegm and easing congestion. This medicinal plant is a popular home remedy for colds and bronchitis. The leaves of eucalyptus contain flavonoids and tannins; flavonoids are plant-based antioxidants, and tannins may help to reduce inflammation.

Propolis

Propolis has long been used in traditional herbal medicine and is widely consumed as a health aid and immune system booster. Propolis has proven anti-inflammatory and immunoregulatory effects, including PAK-1 inhibition. Studies have shown that ACE2, a major target of the SARS-CoV-2 virus for host cell invasion, is also inhibited by propolis. Current antimicrobial applications of propolis include formulations for cold syndrome (upper respiratory tract infections, common cold, and flu-like infections).

Green Tea

Certain bioactive compounds found in green tea possesses remarkable antiviral activities against SARS-CoV-2, according to scientists from the Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine and the Central Research Institute, Japan.
